Abstract:
This case study is meant for Time Series Analysis. Using the monthly production data (from April 2000 to March 2008) for Electrical Fan Industry in India, the case brings out the approach to study trend, seasonality and cyclicality, and their application in short-term forecasting.
Pedagogical Objectives:
- To understand and analyse Trend, Seasonality, Cyclicality and Irregular Components of a Time Series
- To compute Short-term Forecasting based on a study of these components.
